From raw web data to pricing intelligence.

Aperture sits on Import.io's capture layer. That is why it covers the sites other pricing tools skip, and why the data underneath is the same data three commerce-intelligence platforms buy.

step 1

Collect

Pricing, availability, assortment and content collected from retailer and marketplace sites by Import.io's managed extraction, with rendering, anti-bot and store-level context handled.

step 2

Identify

GTINs, EANs, MPNs, model numbers and retailer IDs resolved so equivalent products can be compared across sites.

step 3

Match

AI attribute and image matching clusters, compares and validates products where identifiers are missing or listings differ, with confidence shown.

step 4

Normalise and enrich

Records cleaned and enriched with brand, category, unit price, promotion type and availability for like-for-like analysis.

step 5

Refresh

Daily as standard, hourly for key value items and sellers, with QA on every drop before it reaches your screen.

step 6

Deliver

Dashboards, alerts, the market assistant, exports, API and integrations with commerce, BI and analytics systems.

Aperture questions.

Short answers. Longer ones in the demo.

How does Aperture work?

Aperture continuously collects pricing, availability, promotion and content data from retailers and marketplaces on Import.io's capture layer, matches products across sites with AI, normalises the records, and surfaces the changes that need attention as dashboards, alerts and answers from the market assistant. Every finding carries its evidence.

Who is Aperture for?

Pricing, category, eCommerce, brand, finance, strategy and legal teams at retailers, brands and FMCG companies, and the data teams that support them. Anyone who depends on accurate, like-for-like competitive data to make pricing, assortment or compliance decisions.

What data can Aperture track?

Competitor pricing, promotions, unit prices, stock availability, product changes, MAP compliance, sellers and Buy Box, new product launches, delistings and category movement across retailers, marketplaces and regions. All data is normalised and retained so changes can be reviewed over time.

How accurate is the product matching?

Identifier-backed matches (GTIN, EAN, model) score 0.99. Attribute and image matches carry their own confidence score, and anything below your threshold goes to a review queue with the evidence on screen. Confirmed matches persist across runs and retailer renames.

How does MAP monitoring work?

Every seller's live price is compared against your MAP by SKU. Suspected violations produce a case with the seller identity, price, variance and a dated page snapshot. Cases move from open to notified to resolved, and unknown sellers are flagged against your authorized list.

Can I integrate Aperture with my existing Import.io setup?

Yes. Aperture connects directly to existing Import.io extractors, datasets and APIs. You reuse current sources without rebuilding anything and move from raw data to pricing intelligence quickly.

Is the data auditable?

Yes. Every insight is backed by traceable evidence, including historical captures and page snapshots, so teams can review changes, validate decisions and support compliance and enforcement.

How is Aperture different from a digital shelf tool?

Digital shelf tools measure how a brand's products appear on retailer sites: content, search rank, reviews. Aperture is built around price and compliance: competitor pricing, MAP, availability and assortment, matched SKU by SKU, with evidence. Both run on the same Import.io data, and Aperture includes digital shelf signals where they affect price and channel decisions.

How is Aperture priced?

Licensed on the products and retailers you track and the refresh cadence, billed annually, with matching, onboarding and capture included. It is not metered on queries. Talk to sales for a quote, or start with the demo.

How quickly can we see our market?

The demo returns a first matched market view from your product and competitor lists. A full programme is typically live across your retailer list within two to three weeks of scoping.
